Stefanie Grubbs Director Stefanie Grubbs is the founder of the Carolina Fusion Cloggers. Grubbs began her clogging career while in elementary school where she began clogging with Rhythm Master Cloggers of Lexington, NC under the Direction of Mitzi Owens Summerlin. In 2000 Grubbs attended Mars Hill College to dance with The Bailey Mountain Cloggers under the Direction of Mr. Jay Ledford. Dancing with Bailey Mountain allowed Grubbs to travel extensively through the USA dancing as well as attending the Appalachian and Music Bluegrass Festival in Omaha, Northern Ireland. While at Mars Hill, Grubbs was very active in student activities such as: Mars Hill Lion Cheerleading, VP of College Republicans, and a member of The Delta Zeta National Sorority. Since graduation in 2005, Grubbs has danced with Atomic Force Cloggers in Knoxville TN under the direction of Rebecca Lee. Grubbs now lives in Western NC, and owns and operates The Carolina Cheer & Dance Company, located in Newland NC. |

Shamus Riley Assistant Director - On Sabbatical until August 2008
Shamus Riley is from Suffolk, Virginia. Riley attended Mars Hill College where he danced with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers. While dancing for BMC Riley gained the opportunity to travel to Ireland, to represent Mars Hill College as well as the USA at the Appalachian and Music Bluegrass Festival in Omaha, Northern Ireland. After graduation in 2003 Riley moved back to Suffolk, Virginia where he directs the Peanut City Cloggers. In 2007 Mr. Riley accepted the Assistant Directors position with the Carolina Fusion Cloggers out of Western NC. |

Michael Scrip Technical Director Michael comes from North Carolina, where he has performed and competed in clogging for 18 years. Michael attended Mars Hill College where he danced for the national championship team, the Bailey Mountain Cloggers. Clogging has opened the door for national and international travel and performance, including Ireland, Austria, Italy and Germany, during his college career. In the Fall of 2000, Michael spent the semester working as an entertainer at Walt Disney World. Michael earned his degree in Communications in 2002. He operates his own multimedia business specializing in music editing, video editing and building websites. |
